Sourcing the best local materials is the core of our sustainable network, that’s exactly how we started out in 2016. Underwear is the closest thing your wear, so we owe your skin the best, down to the smallest details, starting with the fabrics. They tick all our requirements boxes: super soft, daily comfort, high durability, eco-friendly certification, geographical proximity.

This line embodies the essence of Esquisse and rightfully earns its title of "SECOND SKIN". The velvety material feels like a veil gently draped over the skin. This fabric is simultaneously supple, resilient, and technically advanced. It is knitted in Italy by a specialist in elastic fabrics, catering to high-end sportswear and swimwear.
Bi-directional stretch ensures this fabric moves with you effortlessly, retaining its shape without deformation.
Breathable and lightweight, it delicately hugs the skin, providing seamless wear even under fitted clothing, thanks to the raw edge finish of the panties.
Enjoy optimal comfort and invisible lingerie.
This highly technical material has undergone numerous quality tests, ensuring durability; it will never pill or lose its shape over time. Its structure offers unparalleled quick-drying properties, making it highly practical as we strongly advise against tumble drying.
We procure it in a "ready to print" state (in natural/ecru color) and digitally print it just a few kilometers away at our partner printer's facility. It's worth noting that this material is designed to withstand UV exposure, chlorine, and salt.
So feel free to repurpose your lingerie as swimwear for an impromptu dip. Freedom at its finest!

Our lace maker has been around since 1936 with a unique know-how. We share the same human and environmental values with this family business. They have the best equipment: all their laces are created, engineered and made in France, in a workshop based in Rhône-Alpes. OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, they fulfill REACH requirements.

Our tulle collection is called RESPIRE (breathe in french): a name that speaks for itself, as it’s stretch, soft and breathable. Lightly transparent, our tulle is made in Italy by a trusted partner, following our ethical requirement specifications. The digital print is made on-site.

Cotton purists can enjoy Esquisse’s barely-there feel and lush patterns with our CHIC ORGANIC line.

The GOTS certified organic cotton thread grows in Turkey before being transferred by truck to a high-tech textile manufacturer established for 60 years in Troyes (France). The material then make a stopover for dyeing (not yet GOTS certified but soon) for a ready-to-print render. Then off we go (by truck) to our dear digital printer in Isère.

This wonderful organic jersey scored high at every stability and pilling tests: it won’t let you down! Smooth on skin and always supportive, what a treat!

We want you to feel free and beautiful in your bathing suit. We work on a high luxury material knitted on the world’s finest gauge (so worth it!). A cloud soft fabric that fits like a glove. Our French supplier specializes in fashion, but also in technical and smart textiles. A unique know how that enables us to create desirable and comfortable swimsuits that really delivers for your beach life.

Our stretchy breathable material celebrates natural curves with a gentle flattering shaping. Seamless on thighs and bottom, providing UV protection for added comfort. It boasts a 100% European composition, using polyamide thread from Italy and elasthanne from Germany. Knitting and dye are made in Isère, France. Certified free of harmful chemicals for your body or the environment, it fulfills REACH requirements.

Our recycled satin line is the real deal. A dreamy-soft fabric that glides along the skin for a sumptuous feel, and a silken finish to highlight our gorgeous patterns. Woven in Italy, then printed in Portugal (sublimation technique).

We’ve sourced GOTS certified organic cotton grown by Turkish farmers. Knitting, dye and manufacturing are all sustainably made in Portugal.
For these wardrobe essentials, basic and ethic go together. We chose this specific material for its heavyweight premium quality that reminds us of our childhood, so that you can slip into them for a very long time.

DIGITAL PRINT: COUNTLESS COLOUR VARIATIONS

The beautiful lush patterns have become our signature. To achieve them, we entrust the printing of our microfiber lingerie, swimwear, and organic cotton lingerie materials to a digital printing factory in Italy. 
This printing technique allows for ultra-precise rendering of intricate designs, with an unlimited number of colors (unlike other textile printing techniques). It's worth noting: all prints are also OEKO-TEX® certified.

Raw edge cut for our panties and bodysuits

The raw edge cut allows for a very precise cut without fraying, thanks to a technical and tightly-knit microfiber fabric.
Result: panties that are invisible under clothing, super comfortable, with no sewing constraints or elastic.

CERTIFICATIONS GLOSSARY

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is a global independent certification system that ensures our fabrics are safe for human use, free of any toxic or allergic substances (chemicals or dyes). You can wear our lingerie, swimwear or homewear immediately, without washing them.

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) is a European Regulation that provides a high level of protection of human health and the environment from the use of chemicals.

GRS (Global Recycle Standard) is an international voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product (your bra for instance). It provides brands with a tool to establish more transparency in the full supply chain (traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content and labeling).

GOTS defines world-wide recognised requirements for organic textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials (traceability of the cotton), through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labeling. It provides a credible assurance to the end consumer, as all certified products meet the exact same stringent standards. More specifically, it limits the use of toxic bleaches, dyes and other chemical inputs during the production process of organic textiles.
